The Definition of Grilled Cheese Fridays

Woo Hoo!

All my blogs from the Miss Illinois website are now posted and ready for your viewing and reminiscing pleasure (or mine). ;) Thanks for your help Jason. :)

If you're not familiar with a Grilled Cheese Friday...let me fill you in. A Grilled Cheese Friday is one of the most honest, real, and good things this world has to offer. It is dependable, reliable, and a true friend that you can count on in good times and bad. A Grilled Cheese Friday is not just the pinnacle of culinary routine, it is hope on two slices of bread.

Grilled Cheese Fridays occur the sixth day of every week and consist of a mid-day meal of grilled cheese, tomato soup, and delicious chocolate chip cookies. You may choose white or wheat bread and always have the option of lemonade or water. Raps and poetry have been written about this favored day and travelers from around the world have ventured to the Delta Gamma kitchen to savor Dennis's delectables.

I really like grilled cheese.

Every Friday, the chef at my sorority would make grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch. We would all look forward to Grilled Cheese Fridays as a symbol that the weekend had finally arrived and saw it as a taste of our childhoods in this comfort food. Thank you to my mom for suggesting this name. :)

As always, thank YOU for reading.
KT :)
